Okay- water in the ear.
First literally "blow dry" your ear canal- warm/cold/warm. every time you exit the shower.

Change your sleeping position, prop yourself up to allow drainage into your throat, to reduce "ear" back up.

Old fashioned recipe- take equal amounts of White Rubbing Alochol and Hyrdrogen Peroixide [ both in phamacy area about $2 a bottle each] And lay on your side put the mixture in your ear and lay there for 20-30 minutes, it will bubble and crackle in your ear and possibly burn a bit (reduce alchol if hurts too much). Do this several times- both ears, just place a towel on you ear and roll over, just that simple. I normally put a towel on the bed and lay on my side and watch TV, and flip sides and watch another show.

At the health food store their are tons of "ear" products you can use. The one I use most is the "ear candle" - you need a friend to help you out - lay only face UP or DOWN, not on your side, if the hot wax rolls back down into that canal, it will seriously burn you. Average 2-3 per ear at each session. Each one take about 15 minutes, so its a lengthy process, yet it feel pretty good and helps water and wax at the same time.

We also use "garlic oil" tincture to help it.

The over the counter "swimmer's ear" also helps.

Best bet is if its over a week or two old there is a strong chance of rinfections, so you will need to see a docotor for an antibotic.

Number one priority is see your doctor. Warm olive oil is the best cure for wax (takes several days to work) and that comes from someone who works for a hearing charity.
The sensations you pick up in your ears can be very misleading, but if you are right, the problem is in the inner ear and is inaccessible to anything you can apply. Possible it is the fluid that bathes the semi-circular canal, in which case you would probably be experiencing dizziness.
Whatever you do, NEVER try cleaning out your ears with hair clips, cotton buds or anything other than the end of your face flannel as you can damage your eardrum (possibly irreparably) and you could be in agony.

Yes - stand with your head to one side, stretch out your arm (on the same side), lean over slightly and bang your hand gently against a wall several times. If that doesn't work go an see your doctor.

I had this problem and went to the doctor. It's something to do with the sinuses being blocked and not draining. I believe they gave me antibiotics - sometimes it sorts itself out without medication required

If you have sinus problems it can sometimes lead to a problem called 'glue ear', see your doctor/or ear, nose & throat specialist.
