It certainly seems that it is dangerous as so many refuse to acknowledge its presence. I would say that the main danger of an opened eye is that it is near impossible to close it again... that it your warning.

No, If you do not use your third eye for anything bad like dark witch craft and all of that sort of crap. Then being spiritually intouch is OK

It is neither safe or dangerous to have an opened third-eye because physically there is no such thing.

Nope...i think its fun to have it open...u can do stuffs...lower ur consciousness from third eye to heart centre by meditation...you can close it by that way...
