depends on what you're going to us it for. Personally i like the larger pickups they are big enough to pull my stock trailer.

P.S. The larger truck sperates the men from the boys! lol

If you aren't using it to haul 2000 lbs of cinderblocks or tow a horse trailer, it doesn't make much sense to get a giant truck that gets 12 mpg.

I'd go for a compact or midsized pickup. You'll get a much nicer daily driving companion that will get more reasonable fuel economy, handle better and be much less of a pain in the a** to park.

I suggest test driving the Honda Ridgeline. It wasn't named Motor Trend's Truck of the Year for nothing. It has an SUV like suspension and handles and rides nicer than ANY pickup on the market, it gets great gas mileage while still packing plenty of horsepower and it has as many or more clever features than any truck out there. It's a lot like the Chevy Avalanche and those part truck part SUV vehicles only its MUCH more well thought out and handles like a sports car compared to any American full size truck.

Go take a test drive and a close look at one.

It depends on your needs. What do you plan on doing with the truck? Once you know that then you can decide.
