The " Wizard Of Oz ".
" There's no place like home ".
I found this to be very true. Today I have very
fond memories of my childhood home, and my
Parents.
As a child I saw that Little People were real, and
not something made up in a Fairy Tale book, they were
playing a part in a movie. So when I got older seeing
a Little Person out shopping was the norm. I had seen
Little People before on TV.

There are two that come to mind and they both influenced me negatively. One was Bambi, where her mother got shot and killed (nice thing for a kid to be exposed to) and the other is Old Yeller where he winds up being killed too. I don't think children should be exposed to that kind of sadness. They will see enough death as their lives go on. I don't know what Walt Disney was thinking, he seriously must have been a masochist or something. I was DEVASTATED by those two movies. And I thought about the cruelty of the deaths for a long time. I have a special affection for animals now.

My mother took me to the movies to see "The Train Robbers" with John Wayne and Anne-Margaret. As a young girl, it made me realize a woman can have a brain. A woman can think one step a head of a man. A woman doesn't have to spend her life waiting on and being submissive to a man. Wonderful movie!! Even more so when you consider that it was made in a time when women were secretaries and housewives.
