Can you tell me what may be causing this problem? When I'm driving and it's dark outside, my eyes begin to be sore. I can see normally and don't a problem with my vision, my eyes just become sore. Does this mean I should get glasses to wear when I'm driving?

It could be that you are having to strain your eyes to see. This can cause them to get sore. Even if you think your vision is perfect, you may have one weaker eye that is straining or you can just have trouble with seeing in the dark.. I say go to an optomitrist and get checked out. Some people have problems with seeing in the dark and there are routes you can take to improve it. If it is really bad they may put a block on your license so you can't drive after dark.... But I think that is a last resort.

You are becoming what is called night blindness. It runs in my family (like every person in my family). It can happen at any age but it started for me at age 35. By noticing i mean - could not read signage at a far distance anymore at night only and my eyes got sore if driving more than a hour or so at night. By age 40 I got glasses but only wear them while driving at night. I can still pass the drivers test without them because the do not test night vision in my State.
To self test yourself try the following: When you are with someone, that has corrected 20/20 vision, pull over on the side of the road about a hundred yards from a road sign at night. Creep forward until the passenger can clearly read the road sign. Cover one of your eyes and see if you can read it and then cover the other eye and see if you can read it. I bet you at this early stage one of your eyes will be worse than the other.
Sucks to get older, lol.
