it's better to do less each day, for as many days, than
a lot in one day, once-twice a week!
so start easy, 30 min - and go from that.

Studies show that regardless of how you choose to exericise, you will need to burn approximately 2300 calories a day to lose weight, provided you are only taking in around 2000 daily. If you take into consideration that the average person probably burns between 1500 and 1800 daily doing normal activities, then you are probably looking at an hour on the bike, less if you work it hard. But it is NOT so simple as that. You need to eat right, too. If you are taking in too many calories, or getting those calories from the wrong sources, then the amount of exercise necessary increases significantly. Basically, you need to burn more calories than you take in every day. So intake is going to be as important as outtake. The best thing you can do is talk to your doctor about it, and maybe even consider getting a personal trainer.

You will need to burn more calories than you eat , so it depends if you eat a lot you need to exercise more.
It is better to exercise every other day, and as a rule you start burning cals after twenty minutes of exercise that increases your heart rate, anything after that is burning calories. Half an hour sitting there pedalling slowly while you watch telly wont do a thing

any exercise is good for your heart and to tone your muscle and to burn fat

You need to burn 3500 calories to burn 1 pound of fat so if the bike has a monitor on it, itwill tell you how many calories you have burnt, you could also try getting a step counter and walk 10,000 steps at least a day i did this and once you get started it is only around 3 miles max a day i lost about 2-3 pounds a week. keep it on all day and the steps soon add up

the bike exercise is for keeping fit and to do some exercise...will not help u to loose weight ...i think u want to loose weight as soon as possible ..... so i don't recomand the bike for this.....is better a fitness programm for ur body.....depends on how much weight u wanna loose....from where u wanna loose those kg.....pilates is very good.....and in few months u will see a difference.....the bike is for usage 3-4 times a week.....3 hours a day......and this only for keeping fit and doing some exercise.....jogging is better....and this way u will fill ur body with fresh air also/......meaning a good fat brn every day.....2 hours a day of exercise (like push-ups etc etc) will help more and is a good way of starting a day (fresh and fit after 1 hour in the morning) and is a relaxing way of ending a day (after 1 hour of exercise in the night u will sleep like a baby and so ur skin will be elastic)......hope i convinced u to go wiht the fitness programme.....all the best.,....bye bye

well an exercise bike is by far not the best choice of exercise because you don't have to support your own body weight but to lose weight it all depends on how long you ride and the intensity at which you ride...plus diet factors come into play while trying to lose weight

It all depends on what you eat and how active you are throughout the day. To find out, calculate your daily calorie intake and then your calorie expendature for the day. If you are burning more calories than you eat, you'll lose weight.
