Peace W - thanks but no thanks - I get nothing from the bible unless I am studying it as literature. I get far more from Shakespeare, Dickens, and just about any other artist who speaks to my brain.

Tu Nga, I put your "Still many people don't know that their lives depend on pure air and not on money, because they are heedless." through Babelfish, but I couldn't guess what the original language was, so I didn't get an English translation - sorry!

Enlightened education is the key. The encouragement of freethinking, active use of all branches of Science, the removal of all unverifiable fiction from schools, refusal to vote for any politician who acts on behalf of supernatural mythology, to make illegal the conditioning of human minds with fictitious and false promises, the banning of all religious evangelists from third world countries, an `open season` for hunting and trapping Jehova`s Witnesses, followed by intensive de-programming. That should get the ball rolling!

The world of humanity has made tremendous progress from savagery to civilization.
In this age of globalization, the One True God has sent down His Messengers and Their authoritative Interpreters to shed light on all Sacred Scriptures throughout history. Anybody really seeks for the truth, he will find. Still many people don't know that their lives depend on pure air and not on money, because they are heedless.

Try an experiment if you will. Humor us fundamental Christians in this. Today is the fifth of January, so please read, if you care to, the fifth chapter of the book of Proverbs (a link below will take you to where you can read it on-line) and tomorrow the sixth, and so forth. Do this everyday for, say three months in order for G-d's wisdom to get through. See if maybe some of that wisdom doesn't permeate your life and that the wisdom doesn't ring true with what you already understand about life. Essentially, prove that the bible is true. If you dare. Try it, you may like it. Shalom.

i don't think billions believe in the same books. i don't think there's anything wrong with people believing these things as long as they don't prevent me from having my beliefs. religion is an invention of man to help understand his origins. if there is a single being that created everything that the eye can and cannot see, that being is so far advanced, for us to even begin to comprehend them is probably impossible.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hope comes through hearing the word of God.
