What do you think will start World War 3 and for what reason will it be fought? I think it not to be a war about racism but a war about different personalities clashing and one type trying to cure the other even though there is nothing wrong.

WW III not only possible, its probable. In view of the aging Russian early warning systems, a nuclear war could happen at any time. You hear of all the talk about Iran and terrorists getting ahold of A nuke. Little is heard about the two bulls in the glass shop.

The arsenals of the US and Russia are the scary scenarios when you're talking nuclear war. Not so much the US causing it, but mainly from an accidental launch by the Russians thinking that NATO or the US launched against them. It nearly happened in 1995, when the Russian 'suitcase' with the launch codes was activated for the first time in history....and this was in the POST-Cold War!!!

You've heard of Einstein's famouse quote "WW IV will be fought with sticks and stone" for WW III will have knocked us back into the stone age.

Human mind has learned from experiences of two world wars, which were fought in last century within a span of thirty years. Since then 70 years have passed with no such war. Wars between individual nations could still be fought but no world war in foreseeable future, I hope

Your theory sounds like a possible religious war.

I'm thinking it will be either over food or the last drops of oil on the earth, and the two are probably connected.
As we continually fail to invest in alternative energy sources with any real committment, we risk losing the ability to build the technology in large quantities once it has been developed. For example, we need heat to melt silicon to build solar panels, and if there is not enough oil to run the smelters (not sure that's the right term), we will not be able to make solar panels, wind vanes, etc. We will not be able to transport food. This is the problem with North Korea, by the way, where there is mass starvation going on today.
Hunger, I believe, will be the trigger!

The Cold war between USA and USSR was sometimes thought of as an "idealogical war". Weapons between them were first used in Korean war (1950's). about 30 countries were involved in that war
South Korea was not invited to the Peace agreement in the 1950's so no end of war truce was signed ending that war. The 38th parallel DMZ, has had attempted infiltration by tunnels over the decades.

I strongly believe that WW3 might not take place in the near future. We humans have learned from experience that it's not worth it. Don't worry, the next World War shouldn't be in your lifetime. And it certainly will not involve nuclear weapons, (Or maybe 1 or 2.) And Chemical weapons in war has been banned. If you use them, the whole world will have the duty to crush you.

I believe the next world war will be over power as all wars have been. Who is to control who; however many bleieve that the next world war will be our last. I think with the advances we have now in chemical war fair, and all the nations that have nucular power, their will be nothing left to fight for.

For "???" -No dear WW3 has not started. We haven't even come close to it. We've only lost 3,000 soldiers in iraq compared to of 350,000 soldiers in vietnam, 45,000 WW2 , should i go on?-We're just in the tip of the iceberg. I say though that it may be coming around the corner with todays society morals, and beliefs. Even though to say today's leaders' common sense knowledge is out bound. The topics of a WW3 can be from relgion, genocides, eugenics, politcal gains, anything really that deals with power; remember everyone wants power, and no one wants to loose it.

World War III has already started. It's the Muslims against the non-Muslims all over the world, hence the term "world war". Attacks in Africa, Lebannon, Yemen, England, Spain, America, Germany, Indonesia. We're in it already.

WW3 has already started to conceive itself and its spreading all over the world, because as always wars make money for its military industries, and you can see its starting in the Middle East because of all its different types of religion and their own territories....all of us should stand up and say "enough is enough", we're all human beings from all types of races...so what is stopping us from getting along and help our fellow man...so its all b_ _ _ _ _ _ _..... and why should our children suffer so whether you're an MUSLIM, CHRISTIAN, JEW or whatever, you better look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself is it all worth it????
