Yep they did. Plane went of course in Russian air territory, and did not respond to calls. Was thought to be a spy plane

I had never heard, no planes at WTC, but about the Pentagon. Of course, finding the actual nose of the plane means nothing to these people. Charlie Sheen is one of the people who says it was an inside job. As stated before, it would have taken 1000 upon 1000's of people being involved in the cover up and someone would have slipped up and said something. Every time there is something that is hard to believe, there will be a conspiracy theory out there. Grassy Knoll, the magic bullet, George Bush and a few people run the world. Why do you think the Da Vinci Code was so popular when all historians have debunked what was said in the book. People want controversy, whether there is any or not.

It was in the 80s. Reagan released the communications to the media that proved that the Russians knew that the Korean plane posed no threat. It helped us topple the Soviet Union.

Sept 1983.
the KAL flight was about 10 to 17 degrees off course flying from Seattle to Korea. It went over some early warning sites on the Pacific coast of USSR.
The MIG pilot didn't have much fuel (so he couldn't defect to Japan as others had done) so when he spotted the airliner, he had to get a quick decision to get back to his own base in time. He had to shooot or let him go.
MIG fighters could not radio other aircraft, so KAL had to hear from USSR ground base or USA if their sensors saw them.

around the same time, North Koreans tried to bomb the South Korean political ministers in Rangoon, Burma. the end of 1983 was a scary time for Koreans

It was in the early 80s. The jet was off course for a
few hours and didn't respond. It was finally shot down
over some island I don't recall from memory.
