6:115 The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all.
Sura 29:46 "And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one;
Sura 5.68 - Say: O followers of the Book! you follow no good till you keep up the Taurat and the Injeel and that which is revealed to you from your Lord;
The Qu'ran as I see it continually taught these scriptures holy and true. but that men might misinterpret them. But nowhere do I see anything that say's anyone can or did corrupt God's holy word The Qu'ran even teach's Christians and Jews should follow htese scriptures and that they are guidence and light for all. God is all knowing and would have known if they were going to be corrupted and forewarned his people but the Qu'ran says nothing and even teachs they are to be followed.

Onewhosub: It seems to me that the Qu'ran can only be uncorrupt in Arabic and the Bible is supposed by Muslims corrupt because of translations but I have found that God is a God of all people and totally capable of revealing his truth to all languages and to all of his people. The words of the Qu'ran say that the Bible and Torah should be followed and we both know God is all knowing therefore when the Qu'ran says that his word can not be changed i understand all of this to man it is intended that the Qu'ran be in agreement with God's previous scriptures and it is not therefore it would be the copy that is corrupt and not the true word of God and the Qu'ran agrees and teachs not against the Gospel and Torah but against itself.

Abel I find YOUR logic extremely odd. The word of God would logicly refer to God's word and the Qu'ran teach's the Bible and Torah are included in this and 115 is refering to all scripture and prophesy but for a person to believe in the Qu'ran which comes from the Torah and Bible and says it does one would have to agree with these scriptures. If The god of Moses is not the god of the Qu'ran than the Qu'ran is a false prophet. If Muhammed is not in agreement with the other prophets of God then surely My God is not your God which makes your God a counterfeit as it makes this claim and did follow these scriptures all prophets of God are revealed by God and no prophet can anounce himself a propet must be in agreement with all of the prophets I did not make these rules but they are true it is the way God protects his truth from false prophets. Is it odd to test the word of God against the word of God? Should God agree with God? If both are the same God and both Abrahamic faiths.

Abel I keep hearing that the Qu'ran says the Bible is corrupt and I began reading and it has thus far insisted that it is holy and true. I anxiously await the Muslim who can show me this part of the Qu'ran and then my question will be why did it say God's word can not be changed? Can God be against God? If your God is my God they surely must agree. Either these are contradictions or there is a problem. Iawait any answer that explians this delema.

Abel if 6:115 refers only ot the Qu'ran(which it doesn't) it would be calling the Qu'ran the only word of God. (which it doesn't) If the Qu'ran is the only word of God. Then how could it say People of the book Your God is my God?

True, dear. But think a moment. If their current imams and other leaders were to refer to this aspect of their Holy Book, where would that leave them, vis a vis their desire for world domination? How can you justify killing everyone who disagrees with you if you pay attention to the Q'uran's words?

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Get real. This has little to do with Islam vs. anybody. It has EVERYTHING to do with little tinpot god wannabes getting power over as many people as they can!

There is a verse that says the People of Book corrupted the scripture of Allah. Your logic is a little odd, you are using the Qur'an to validate the previous works but you do not follow the Qur'an. Remember we believe that Allah sent down the Torah and Gospel but they have been changed by men. Verse 6:115 I believe refers to the Qur'an. Read about Muir on the authenticity of the Qur'an.

Well you are not reading the original Qu'ran, it is in Arabic. However I can kindly refer to you a betten modern english translation. I have read in entirety the translation you refer to by Marmaduke Pickthall. Here please if you are trying to understand Qu'ran use this English translation

http://www.ummah.net/what-is-islam/quran/neindex.htm

Warning!

Please keep in mind ANY translation (interpretation) of the Qur.aan will most definitely contain errors. In its natural language (Arabic), the Qur.aan is the direct Word of Allaah (God) to mankind through the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Any translation of the Qur.aan no longer retains that 'official' and perfect status, however it can be tremendously helpful to beginning students wanting to learn more about Islaam.

We would strongly encourage those want to learn about Islaam to purchase a hardcopy of the Qur.aan but with the following conditions:

l get one with commentary (tafseer)
l make sure the tafseer is scholarly (e.g. references to reasons behind a verse, references to hadith and sunnah, etc.)

As to the verses you refer

[006:114] [Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]):] "Shall I seek a judge other than Allâh while it is He Who has sent down to you the Book (the Qur'ân), explained in detail." Those to whom We gave the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injîl (Gospel)] know that it is revealed from your Lord in truth. So be not you of those who doubt.

[006:115] And the Word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can change His Words. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

[029:047] And thus We have sent down the Book (i.e. this Qur'ân) to you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), and those whom We gave the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injîl (Gospel) aforetime] believe therein as also do some of these (who are present with you now like 'Abdullâh bin Salâm) and none but the disbelievers reject Our Ayât [(proofs, signs, verses, lessons, etc.,) and deny Our Oneness of Lordship and Our Oneness of worship and Our Oneness of Our Names and Qualities: i.e. Islâmic Monotheism].

[005:068] Say: (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! You have nothing (as regards guidance) till you act according to the Taurât (Torah), the Injîl (Gospel), and what has (now) been sent down to you from your Lord (the Qur'ân)." Verily, that which has been sent down to you (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) from your Lord increases in most of them (their) obstinate rebellion and disbelief. So be not sorrowful over the people who disbelieve.

The thing is that the versions that exist today are not Original, the Scholars of Old have modified them, Jesus Son of Mary spoke Aramaic, yet we have no Aramaic Gospel. So like even with the translation you read it is not 100% infallible. Rather I think Paul and Peter wrote the current Bible in Greek, with a slight twist to please that audience. Then the Council of Nicene, where the bible was further modified.

We do still belief the Torah and Gospel and Pslams as being from God, but we do not accept the current versions are pure. There still maybe good things in them, verses which may be unmodified but we cannot speculate as to which they are. And there is no need to since the Qu'ran is preserved and will be until the Day of Judgment.

Peace Be with You
