If it is a new one, then it may still be set to the factory code, which on a Rover is 1234

Don't use a date, always use high numbers (over 4) and don't repeat them. Also, try not to cluster them together in case someone is watching you type. I'm in the same situation and my password has never been found. Just make sure there's no way someone can relate that number to you (birthday, SSID, phone #, etc).
