It was in the Sun newspaper a few weeks ago that a man lost 5pounds a week by having a cup of bovril with a bit of pepper in and 2 slices of wholemeal bread dipped in.So if you like the taste of boveril why not give this a try.Good luck

I make a lot of my own soups as I know exactly what goes into them. They're extremely easy to make - I just throw a bunch of different veggies in the pan, add some stock, herbs and a bit of salt and pepper. They normally fill you up more and taste better too! If you make a big batch, you could always freeze some for later. You should try some different cookbooks for diets such as the G.I. diet and see what they have in there.

I agree with minimoto but if you need a convenience soup, what about Heinz Weightwatcher's soup. They are actually quite nice. Look for soups in the health-living range in the supermarkets and avoid any that contain cream or are thickened with flour.

Sainsburys do a great range of soup in their be good to yourself range - find it next to the tinned soups.

Carrot & Coriander and Chicken Noodle are my faves!

There is nothing simpler or tastier than home made soup.

If you don't think so, it is usually because you crave the bad stuff in the tinned ones, like salt.

As for which are best, look at the labels and compare them.

Heinz chicken noodle soup is low. I'm sure its less than 100 cals for the whole can. Pretty tasty too.

I agree - it's so simple to knock your own together, tastier, low calories, and most importantly you know there's no emulsifiers or other chemicals.

It takes no time really either, and you can freeze it or store it for a few days.

Try Heinz Weight Watchers. The tomato one is nice, there are 77 calories in it.
