My husband gave me half of the enema because the stool was in the way. then i let it out he had to spread my cheeks so the stool would come out. then he gave me the other half of the enema and real big hard pieces of stool came out. i feel better today but still feel consipated. do you think this is the way to go.

NO! Only use one enema... and go to the store and buy stool softeners instead! That's some ridiculous advice you were given!

no I am a nurse and you are going to cause more problems. as crazy as it sounds enemas can be addictive.... you should try to use a stool softener or a suppository to soften the stool. also if this is a recurring problem you should take a fiber supplement such as metemucil.

something natural you could try is prune juice or go to natural health food store and ask one of the people there. say it is for someone else, so you dont have to be embarressed... and they have stuff there that helps
or just drink a lot of water and flush your body
they make this vitamin for colon cleansing/detox, that might help too

Start eating more high fibre food and drinking plenty of water.
Constipation is bad bad bad. Its not what you feel, its whats going inside and you dont feel. It aint nice.
