No tea is good for anyone. And it is a nice alternative to sweet sodas or big glasses of milk.

I have never heared something like it!
Actually, every time I had a flu, a cold or other illnesses, my mother used to make me some tea. Most of the time, it had a positive effect on me and no effect at worst.

No- i think they've proven that the antioxidants in tea are good for everyone... way better than juices (except pure orange juice) or sodas.

Not at all, but, if they are under12 you need to be careful of their caffeine intake, it can cause them to be hyper. I started drinking coffee at age 5 or 6, I stopped getting pneumonia and bronchitis. I did it because I was always getting tonsilitis and it helped me to swallow by soothing them.
