Theres no way you can catch asthma! and its not in your heart its in your lungs. If shes taking her asthma medication properly, Ventolin and her preventer, then her asthma should be under control. Certain things can trigger an attack though no matter how fine you may seem. These can be things like running, dust and dirt and grass. As long as her asthma is under control then she should be fine.

Asthma is a lung condition. It causes difficulty breathing . It's not contagious and it's not life-threatening. There are medicines you take for it, and some people have it more seriously than others. I have it, and I need to have an inhaler with medicine in it on me at all times. It doesn't mean that your gf can't do anything that's active, like running or whatever.

asthma (āz'mə) Pronunciation Key
A common inflammatory disease of the lungs characterized by episodic airway obstruction caused by extensive narrowing of the bronchi and bronchioles. The narrowing is caused by spasm of smooth muscle, edema of the mucosa, and the presence of mucus in the airway resulting from an immunologic reaction that can be induced by allergies, irritants, infection, stress, and other factors in a genetically predisposed individual. Common symptoms of asthma include wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath.

It can`t affect you too. It doesn`t have any matter if she has asthma, it can`t get from her to you. It is not dangerous a lot, my friend has asthma, so I know that. She is running normally, and doing all the sports normally, but not too much. If she starts to choke, she should have her pump near her, or some medicine.

asthma is not contagious. it is inborn, hereditary. it cannot be cured, but most people with asthma can control it so that they have few and infrequent symptoms and can live active lives. symptoms like wheezing (a whistling sound when you breathe), coughing, chest tightness, and trouble breathing, especially at night and in the early morning, are signs of possible asthma attack. :)

This is not contagious, but can be a very serious medical condition to her if not treated properly. I hope she is under medical care for this chronic lung condition. It is spelled "asthma",look it up on a medical web site to learn more.
