I had a Irish Setter with the same problem.I never got them but someone told me the AKC will do it.Don't know if it true but I was told they would need pics(head) from the front and side etc.You might contact them and see what they say.The worst they can say is no.

Every dog has a pedigree! It is just a list of its parents, grandparents etc. A pedigree dog usually means that the dog is a purebred, ie the parents were of the same breed. Presumably, you mean you haven't got any registration papers, meaning the dog is not recorded at the Kennel Club (or the AKC if you are in America). You cannot just obtain registration papers, you need to get them from the breeder of your puppy. If her parents weren't registered, then, sorry, you can't register her. Don't bother with any other so-called registration scheme - they are not worth the money they are written on.

No , as the breeder didn`t have the pedigree paper`s there is a good chance that his own dog`s didn`t have them either !
If they had paper`s then you could of applied to the kennel club for a copy but as it stand`s sorry there is nothing you can do !

"Pedigree" means you have a paper listing her parents, grandparents, etc. I think you mean she is purebred.
If you weren't given registration papers, you were not dealing with a reputable breeder. They were probably sold their dog with 'limited registration' - meaning she was not breeding quality, and was supposed to be spayed. No way for you to get any legitimate kennel club registration papers on yours, then.
p.s. what muckandme is refering to is an ILP number, not a registration - it is something you can apply for if your dog is an obvious purebred, only so you can compete in that kennel club's performance sports like obedience, agility, flyball, etc. - not for conformation showing or to breed.

Only the breeder can supply you with the paper work - if the breeder didn't have the papers then they have no proof she was pedigree.

I don't understand. You say you have a pup staffy, right? And you got her from someone who was breeding her??? Why were they breeding her if she is a puppy??? If the breeder won't give you the papers on her, you can't register her. Better have her spayed so your puppy will not be having puppies.

since the parents didn't have papers there is no way you can get them. The KC registration is the only way you can get her lineage verified to prove that she is purebred.

If he didn't give you papers, she's most likely not registered with a kennel club.
