ALL frozen meals are full of rubbish. If you must use the microwave, why not steam yourself a few veggies and a bit of fish or chicken at home?
1) It's a lot better for you than eating that crap out of a plastic box.
2) It's more environmentally friendly.
3) It is cheaper.
4) To say it takes longer misses the point, but it REALLY DOESN'T take much longer to throw together a few beans/carrots/corn or peas/asparagus, etc with some pasta and fish or chicken. I promise you.
My missus has been on a diet for the past six months and NEVER used to cook. She has been amazed how quickly SHE can turn a lovely nutritious meal around in that she enjoys MORE than something quick out of the freezer.

Birdseye has lots of yummy veggie microwave dinners. Lean Cuisine has lots of good entree dinners. I've had the Weight Watcher dinners too. They're not too bad but I prefer the Lean Cuisine. Just make sure you get some carbs before your workouts and make sure you get your proteins with about 30-45min. after your workouts. Otherwise you'll start losing muscle with your weight, which is counter productive. Good luck.

A lot of supermarkets have their own low fat/reduced salt brands of microwavable meals. Sainsbury's meals are nice.
Stay well clear of the Weight Watcher's Shepard Pie - as the mashed potato topping is rock hard - and the Fisherman's Pie smells and tastes horrible (my younger brother who will eat anything agrees and refuses to touch it).
The Hotpots and the Chicken Risotto are really nice.

All frozen meals have too much sodium so if you can avoid to eat them on a daily basis much better. I do eat once in a while Smart Ones (weight watchers since it has good portion control and you should be satisfied after youre done), Lean pockets are good too and lean cuisine.

my wife was 16 stone 1 year ago. she then went on a low calorie diet and did not exeed 600 calories a day. becauuse i am a bit of a fitness freak, i joind her on a mile and a half speed walk every morning. after a while we turned that into a run and now we race it. she is now 9 and a half stone and the happiest person i know, plus it increased her sex drive(which i love). you do not need to join a club and spend money. the only money you will need to spend is on all of the new clothes that you will need to buy. find a friend that will join you. good luck.

I wouldn't reccommend Weightwatchers microwave meals - not really tasty and portions are tiny!! I think the best are Asdas healthy range and they're cheap too
