I think you should speak from your heart. Mention how happy this lady makes your older/younger brother & how proud you are of him. Also maybe bring up a funny story from the past, like i say, speak from your heart & it will come to you...

I am real good at giving tips for any kind of speech. You are the best man, not 2nd best- THE best man. So, it has to be a good one! You should start off with getting the people's attention. THey need to hear you first of all. Then, you should say "we have gathered here today to celebrate___&___'s marriage, as the best man, I want to say, I hope you both have a wonderful marriage. It seems only yesterday that you brought ____ home." Tell, how they met-if appropriate. THen say you're happy for them and wish them much luck and love with their marriage. If you need more help- just ask!

There are steps you can take to actually build a strong, stable marriage and avoid divorce. Read here https://tr.im/x71U6
Here are some key steps to apply to your marriage:
- Start by understanding and being informed.
You can never be too informed about tools, methods and studies about building successful marriages. Understand the risk factors like your age and maturity at marriage can determine how successful it will be, the anatomy of an affair and what you can do after infidelity. Understand the success factors like the personal and psychological circumstances that will influence your marriage, what are the tools and approaches available to you in dealing with conflict, and numerous other relevant data. All this information is readily available to you whether through self-help material, through a counselor, support group or other venues. In fact, we have made it our commitment to provide these to you in different formats to help you make the best marriage you can.
The thing is, remember, this is information is not available for you to begin hyper-psychoanalyzing your relationship, yourself and your partner. It's not a matter of spewing trivia for the sake of conversation ' information is there for you to ponder over and internalize to help you transform yourself and your marriage. That includes maturing to such a point that you become more competent in your knowledge but more prudent in approach.

The best - best man speach i ever heard was made by the brother of the groom. He basically roasted him. It was funny... not too embarrassing and current. If he is involved in any clubs, incorporate that... If he isnt good at house cleaning make fun of that. Tell the bride she is in for a real treat when the REAL guy comes out. Cant cook, cant clean, oh he can clean... Clean his dinner plate! Good Luck. I'm helping my huband with a speach for his best friends wedding.

I did a best man speach last year they are well difficult. In your speach it is you job to thank the bridesmaids (dont forget to compliment them) also make a toast to the bride then go on to rip the groom about any thing you can then ask everyone to stand and raise their glass and toast the bride and groom.
The main thing is to stay calm remember every one their are you friends there is no real presure. be sure to embaris the groom but not to much his friends from school will be able to help you with that i am sure

You should definately write your own! If someone asked you to be thier best man, then you probably mean something to the couple. Do something meaningful for them, and write your own speech! It doesn't have to be long or anything, just be a man and write the darn thing!

seriously...
compliment the bride, how pretty she looks on the day and how lucky your brother is for being her husband
compliment your brother
say something nice about them as a couple, possibly mention how they met (so long as it was nice! lol)
Thank both lots of parents, the bridesmaids, guests, etc etc
wish them luck in their marriage
toast their marriage
pointers are simple, writting it will be much harder, but good luck

chil out... this is easy enough, he's your brother. and to be funny, it doesnt have to be crude. old photos of him, aged 2, running around naked... (as we did) fashion shots..of things he wouldnt be seen dead in these days, like flares or tank tops... or t shirts supporting the likes of the spice girls... very incriminating... and funny.
im a photographer, and ive seen lots of speeches. the best ones are short, funny and over before you know it.

web sites like theknot.com and weddingchennel.com have structures you can follow, and change the words around a little, to make it your own speech.
