Not necessarily. Gluttony is a sin, and gluttony often causes obesity.
But there are other causes for obesity too, and often it's a combination of things -- some of which the person can control, but some of which he/she cannot.
Obesity itself is not a sin. The cause of the obesity may or may not be a sin, though -- it depends on what that cause is, for the individual person.

Gluttonny is the sin not neccessarilly obesity. obesity can be caused by gluttony, but not always. I know many gluttons including myself at one time who ate sinfully but never gained a pound. Man, I miss those days. sorry i do not have time to look up all scripture, but go to a concordance either buy one or go to one online and type in gluttony and many scriptures will pop up.
I mention gluttony as sinful to make a point that many people do this and have no problem with going to church, but if a homosexual were to try to go to thier church, they would holler allkinds of stuff and according to the bible glutonny is just as sinful as homosexuality.
My point is if christians can worship God while being practicing gluttons, why can't the practicing homosexual do so also?

Obesity is not a sin and never was but gluttony is considered, according the bible, a great sin that obviously cause obesity. I think you shouldn't blame yourself if you are obesity. Indeed, this is a complex disorder that is resulted of many causes.

Gluttony is one of the 7 deadly sins, however that is philosophy.
I don't know a verse in the christain bible, but know that you it says somewhere in there that you should treat your body as a temple, so if it is harmful to your health you probably are looking at a sin.

Of the 7 deadly sins, one is gluttony. Eating just to satisfy the taste buds when the needs of the body are already satisfied.

Gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins.
Gluttony is also one of the possible causes for obesity.
It's like saying having a DVD player is a sin. It's not, unless you stole it.
This is what the Christians believe anyway. I can neither advocate nor condemn said beliefs.

Leave the man-made concepts of seven deadly sin (every sin is deadly - Romans 3:23) and read the living Word of God:
Deuteronomy 21:18-23

Obesity is the effect of gluttony, that points to committed gluttony. Therefore glutton needs to repent, adopt new practices of temperance, and live, by help of God, new life.
