You can use him more than 4 times, if he is 8 he still has a couple of years left for breeding.

I think 4 times is more than enough. There is no need to breed more dogs. The shelters are full of dogs, even Bichons if you take the time to look for them. DON'T BREED OR BUY WHILE ANIMALS IN SHELTERS DIE. I know this is not the answer on your question but I felt like telling you my opinion in hope that you might rethink your breeding plans!

How many champians, or other titles in his get? IF the answer is none in 4 litters - most breeders will run the other way. That why they are telling you too old.
