um, excuse me but pearl harbor was a military target. Hiroshima and Nagasaki where large cities full of people, pregnant women, that sort of stuff.

First your historical knowledge is quite lacking. Study Japanese records and history of the time and you will find that they had no intention of surrendering after the first bomb, and even after the second, some of the Japanese officers tried to stop the Emperor from surrendering by force. They were stopped by other officers and army units.
It has been mentioned on this site many times what the casualties would have been if operation overlord had gone on. Many thousands of times the dead and crippled than the Atomic Bombs produced. Even the Japanese will tell you this. A land invasion of Japan would have meant the worst fighting the world has ever seen.
Last but not least why do you not complain about the fuel air bombs used over Dresden Germany? They killed more people in one bombing than either of the Atomic Bombs did. Or did you not know your history there either?
As for what Jesus thinks about war, read your old testament once. I doubt he loves war, but he apparently saw the need for it at times, based on the exodus.

First of all, you need to get your facts straight.

The Nagasaki bomb wasn't dropped "the next day" after the Hiroshima bomb.

It was dropped three days later -- more than enough opportunity for Japan to surrender, which they didn't do till after the second bomb.

Second, why do you constantly display what I call "selective indignation," Katyusha?

You always single out certain bad things, while ignoring others -- depending on who the perpetrator is.

This tells me that you're not really concerned about atomic bombs or babies dying or any of that.

You just use these things -- and use them very selectively -- to push an anti-religious agenda, or an anti-American one.

Now, to answer your question -- I don't think Jesus liked the death and destruction caused by the two atomic bombs. I don't think He liked it one bit.

But I think He would be okay with the fact that they brought about a quick end to the war.

And I think He would be okay with the fact that an invasion of Japan -- which would have killed millions -- didn't have to be carried out.

Don't know, but I think they could have dropped the bomb
somewhere and scared the hell out of them without dropping it on a city.
Just like Iraq. I feel Saddam had to go, and it would take force. But it was overkill from the beginning. And we're
still trying to bully and beat them into submission.
But killing creates blood vengeance, because the ones
who die have family and friends. And that stuff never
stops!

Do not be mistaken, the US dropped those bombs because Russia had intended to invade Japan, and the US wanted to negotiate on American terms, not on Russian terms.

I can see, after only readinf two of your questions, that you're going to be one of "those"people who want to stir up trouble by posting misleading and stupid questions.
