Of course. I already knew there were three branches of
Islam. The Sufi, I believe is the name, being more mystical. But after reading in Time magazine, there are really about 8 branches. Notably the Twelvers which await the coming of a 12th Imam.

What is your evidence for the claim that "a majority of Christians think that a majority of Christians are not actually Christian"?

Yes, other religions have "divisions" in them. Almost all do, in fact.

If the "divisions" seem more pronounced in Christianity, that's because it's been around longer than most other major religions, and has more members than any other religion.

One huge trait that disgusts me about the Glorious Human Creature is our dissatisfaction with each other. It seems we are always creating cliques, niches, sects, groups, et al, to separate and create division. This is extremely unhealthy socially and spiritually. The Unitarians try to encompass all but are regected... Even Ghandi was persecuted... MLK jr... I don't get it. We look for differences in our selves, we identify with those differences and then persecute the 'ugly other'.

Yes, every social group regardless of faith will have disagreements among themselves, which will not be settled. This cause people with the same ideologies to break into different group in order to carry on there common beliefs and focusing on piety difference.

one religious faction meeting in a church
one religious faction meeting in a church
if one faction should should start an ugly brawl
There'd be two religious factions meeting in a church
two religious factions meeting in a church
and if two religious faction start an ugly brawl
There's be three religious faction meet in a church
And if three religious factions should start an ugly brawl
There'd be four . . .
