The U.S. will win the war. But at the moment, Russia is growing stronger economically, than militarily. It is asserting more and more global influence through economic means. So it is unlikely that U.S. and Russia will have a military confrontation. It will be more of war of economies, with the U.S., Russia, European Union, and China as the power players. The U.S. will be more criticized in using using it's military might in embarking to unwarranted wars. So far, in the ongoing war in Iraq, only England is on the U.S. side. If the U.S. continue to involve in questionable military confrontations, it will find itself more and more isolated. That's the situation that will hurt the U.S. even when it emerges a victor on those wars.
