if she isnt worth the risk then dont ask her, but if she is worth being hurt or embarassed go for it and perhaps everything will be alright. You could always make her come to you by talking to her askng her phone number etc etc, you dont just walk up and jump a girl telling her you like her.

try talking to her. Find out if you share any interests. If you do, involve yourself with them. If she likes a certain kind of music, maybe learn more about it and find out if you do as well. Find a common ground and open communication. Talk to her friends, talk to your friends, have your friends talk to her friends.
