and sang in the choir?

I've sung in my choir before at church, and I'm not really a Christian. But I believed in the songs we were singing. I do believe in God.

At our church, sure.

We are Unitarian Universalists. The UU's are "non-creedal" which means that theologically you can believe anything you want.

Other churches that our similar are Unity Churches, Baha'i, and I think United Church of Christ (but less so.)

But, some of the words to those songs might be different.

Look in to any or all, if that's applicable.

And no matter where you sing, sing loud, okay?

I have to turn my attention to your statement of "I'm not really a Christian" There is slightest amount of imbarrasment or shame that seems to be attatched to that word Christian the way you said that.. You either are a Christian or you are not. You either have accepted Jesus as your personal Savior or you have not. There is no sort of being a Christian or not really being a Christian. I just had to clear that up.

But as for it bothering me if a non-Christian attended my Church.... Its a great start for them and a way for them to learn what God expects of them, has done for them, and the wondeful future they can have with Him. Through regular Chruch attencance, the Holy spirit will eventually come knocking on their heart's door when the preacher give the invitation to those who want to become born again and accept Jesus as their personal Savior. I am all for those visiting guests in my church.

When and if you do become a born again Christian. You will say that without reservation and when you do say you are a Christian, it won't sound as if you are imbarrased by it.

God bless you.

I wouldn't mind if a non-Christian attended my Church, as long as they were respectful. However if they sang in the choir, I may question their reasons for being involved, if it's purly to be in the choir I would feel used.

not at all as long as they were not behaving extreamly badly out of Church. I am sure many in the churches are not christian or only semi christian. if we all had to be christian before we could enter a church I think most would be empty.

No, it wouldn't bother me if a non-Christian attended.

They wouldn't be able to sing in the choir, though. To do that, they'd have to be a member of the parish -- and to be a member of the parish, they'd have to be a baptized Catholic.

No. There church is there for everyone to attend. It will be good rather to have more non christians coming-in in their numbers because faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Any real Christian would welcome you with open arms to their church. I'm not so sure about singing in the choir, you'd have to audition. lol

No it would not bother me at all I would welcome them with open ars that is what a true Christian would do :)Also , everyone is welcome to God's house.I probably would be a little upset if they screamed profanities I would then probably approach them and ask them what is on their mind and why they are so angry and show them how God could help them overcome their inadequacies and feelings of hurt and anger :) God Bless

I would welcome you to my church. However, music is powerful and infuences. I would not think its a good idea to allow a non believer to have any position of influence.

Why do you feel the need to go to church if you do not know God? Just interested :-)

Blessings upon you friend.

It is perfectly OK. Those who are well have no need of a physician. Remember Christs words on this subject.

(not about the choir)
