I am getting a new car and the choice is most likely going to be between the Commodore and Falcon, I have driven the basic 2000 vt sedan with fe2 suspension and found it to be a nice ride at good speed and a car that picks up well. I have also driven the basic 2002 falcon and this picked up very fast, I was going over 100 k's before I knew it......I am considering these cars as we are looking to start a family in the next few years and we both like bigger cars.....Laura drives a 2000 SS Commodore but I currently drive a 1992 Ford Laser so this is a big upgrade for me later this year and yes I will look at the performance models of each marque I am just looking for advice, Commodore V's Falcon, which one and why??? either base models or sport models infact I would almost prefer a sport model if I get the falcon...

please advise
Mitch

note: must be a sedan in whatever I buy

mate what can i say really,i could go on about how good i think Holden's are and tell you about all the specks but whats the point, someone will just give you the same info about the fords,so i say this, its the oldest argument in Australian motoring-Holden v's ford, and at the end of the day all the new models of both makes are great motor cars both quick both ride comfortable and both safe cars,it just depends which side of the fence you sit on............GO THE HOLDENS!!!

Ha!
According to my 16 yr old daughter, FORD stands for:
Found
On
Rubbish
Dump

But seriously, I will agree with you that cars these days are positively spectacular in their looks, performance and engineering.
