PBJ means Probation Before Judge. It basically means you go to the judge, say you're sorry, it was a mistake, you shouldn't have done it, and you'll never do it again. With probation before judgment, no conviction is entered on the record as long as the conditions imposed by the court are met, which, if you get a sympathetic judge and an adequate lawyer, will probably mean 100 hours of community service, a written letter of apology, and maybe a fine.

Have your attorney discuss it with the judge, if it goes to trial. Maybe plea bargain. I don't think they are going to lock you up for it since it would most likely be considered a misdemeanor. I think it's admirable of you to admit your mistakes. We've all made dumb moves. Is PBJ, Probate judge? Possibly.

Just learn from your mistake or next time if you try to hit anything other than a store, you may be somebody's boyfriend for a few months, plus you may even be killed.

everyone makes a mistake in life, you just learned yours.....because your 21, that isn't so good.....but since you have a clean record, the judge may not throw the book at you.....it may be in your best interest to get a lawyer for sure......you'll probably be banned from Best Buy, court costs, and community service, hopefully no jail time....if you can't afford a lawyer, beg the judge, and pray he/she is in a good mood that day.....they see so many people, that when a decent person who makes an error in good judgement pops up, you hope they take that into consideration, but they get tired of people, so hope they are in a good mood, and beg!!!!

If you do not have the funds to hire an attorney, I am sure that even MD provides you with a public defender, gratis. You must work with him/her openly and honestly and plot the course for your best defence. It is a mistake not to be represented by a lawyer as they know the intricacies of the law and you do not.

Well, first I would change your user name; you're giving the jolly guy a bad image.

This was a petty theft. Put on your best suit, plead guilty, pay yoru fine, do your 7 hours community service and get on with your life.

Go consult and attorney. Usually consultation is free. It might cost you $1500.00 or more but if you want to keep it off your record you will have to get an attorney. With luck you will find one that might do it pro bono or let you pay it out.

Admit the case and make it as a mitigating circumstance. Cite also your clean record to decrease your penalty.

parole before judgment. meaning if you dont do anything else for 2 yrs or so they will erase it. you'd be lucky to get that, you're an adult and MDs strict so cross your fingers it's like the judge's birthday that day.

Get a lawyer. I don't know what will happen, but whatever you do, get a lawyer.
