questioning your beliefs while leaving your mind open to the possibility that they could be wrong will make your beliefs stronger. But only if you are truly willing to let go of false beliefs. If you question a belief, find it false, then you will no longer believe in that thing, and your belief that that thing is false will be stronger!

But if you question it, and then find solid evidence for it, then your belief that it is true will be stronger.

Basically, it's just doing more research on the belief. So whatever you find out, you can feel more confidence in, because you did some research.

Now, if you're not really willing to admit your beliefs are wrong, then you are not stronger but just more bullheaded.

It depends...If you question your beliefs, but do so with an open mind and are willing to make changes to what you believe if you find something to be at fault, then it is a good idea.
I was raised into Christianity, but I always felt disatisfied with my religion, so I began to question my beliefs, now what I believe in is mostly buddhism with bits of Christianity and several other things thrown in there as well...the point is, I didnt simply say 'This is my religion, I will blindly accept everything it says', instead I explored several religions and took out the bits I believed in, and I think that is a good process to go through, because for a religion to work for you, you have to whole-heartedly believe in it.

It all depends on the belief. If you believe that everyone of another religion is evil, and decide to test it by going up to a member of another religion and starting to chat, and you realize they AREN'T evil? That probably just weakened your belief. But if you believe that all religions preach that it is important to love your family, and you test it by visiting families all over the world, and the majority of them really do love their families? That just made your belief stronger.

Yes. Sometimes when someone asks a really tough question about my faith, It helps me to think about why I believe what I believe. The question without an answer causes me to pray to God for the answer ("Ask and you shall receive", means the answers to questions) sometimes there is an answer, but more than likely I just have to live with the questions unresolved. But that, to me just makes life a great learning adventure. God knows so much more than I do and that just causes me to trust Him all the more.

There are paradoxes, and sometimes they are confusing, but all of life can be that way. Just when I think I know it all, I find out I don't. I see that as Gods way of telling me there is always more to learn. So it is good to keep on questioning.

Yes, because they know that you don't know much and make them do research on the subjects. For me it will make them stronger and weaker by how you questionning them and by mean of some psychological effect will make them more weaker or more stronger on his belief.

If your talking religion,I don,t question my beliefs in God.
But I have questions when I read the bible sometimes what you read, someone else may have a different view and it helps to put a different light on it and helps me to understand better, and understanding Gods word will make you stronger in him if you put what you learned in action.

Questioning my beliefs makes them more clear in my mind. I wouldn't say stronger. I strengthen my beliefs when I experience GOD personally in my life through the Ho;y Spirit.

No. Truly questioning your beliefs makes you an Atheist. I define 'truly questioning' as approaching the alternatives with an educated open mind.

Apparently the answer is "no" - to wit, this quote from Martin Luther:

"Reason is the greatest enemy that faith has: it never comes to the aid of spritual things, but--more frequently than not --struggles against the divine Word, treating with contempt all that emanates from God."
