Every once in a while, I see a question about a person who is questioning their sexuality, and without fail there is some religious whacko jumping in and saying, "You shouldn't do that, it's forbidden by god."

What justification does the religious people have in interjecting their faith on others even when it's obvious that the others have no interest in religion. If I want to go out and Fvck a man, I'm not going to stop myself because I'm worried about what god thinks of the whole thing.

The whole world would be a better place if everyone would just mind their own business!

There's far to many people who make themselves judge & jury.

It shouldn't be, of course. Legally and ethically, what two (or more) consenting adults want to do should be completely up to them, as long as they are harming no one else.

Some try to argue that homo acts do somehow harm other people, but I think that's a real stretch.

In the US and other non-theocracies, the laws will eventually have to change to recognize this, because there is simply no justification for such prohibitions.

Morality (and laws) should be based on what is good or bad for the people in question. Rather than protecting people from each other, government too often tries to protect people from themselves (helmets, seat belts, porno, anal sex, some drugs) which inevitably reduces our freedoms. And religions are all over the board with their irrational ideas of morality, which may be based on old myths, or a church leader's latest conversation with god -- VERY scary.

Ah - so that's what "interjecting their faith on others" means. I had wondered. So, somebody asks for an opinion on something, and when the religious guy gives his opinion he's "interjecting his faith on others"?

Isn't that what you are doing right now? Looks to me like you are offering an opinion that different from someone else's - are you interjecting your opinion on them?

But, in response to the question, if some guy wants to stick his penis up some other guy's anus, then more power to him.

Some truth to that....but be honest, what boy wasn't introduced by a man? When gay marriage is law, you will abide by the law...and statutory rape will throw half the gay population in jail.

Including punitive damages. You want to live by the law, then get ready to sing some old German beer songs!

fear not the homophobes, they aren't real christains anyway, since they are trying to control their god and make him hate people when the bible says the exact opposite about what Jesus would do himself
