The way our Constitutional system works, he is our leader for the four years of his elected term. What the whim of the public is on a daily basis is not the point.

We have an incredibly stable governmental system because we have fixed terms.

He was elected, but as of now 65% of the public do not approve of his leadership and of the direction he is taking the country. As for me, I didn't vote for him either time. I didn't believe he was qualified to handle foreign policy, and I also had HUGE doubts about Cheney's ties with Halliburton and the fact that he had moved to Wyoming from Texas the day before he was to accept the VP nomination. It's against the law for a Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate to reside in the same state. (He admitted he didn't even vote in the last two Presidential elections prior to 2000.) I don't think Bush is a Nazi or a terrorist, but I DO think he's hard-headed, incompetent, & arrogant. He's much worst than his father. He may have been intelligent enough to graduate from Yale, but he has a very difficult time expressing himself in any organized fashion.

Remember the 2000 election? Gore had half a million votes more than Bush. And today polls indicate that the ratio is far worse for George.

The majority of those who voted do. I mean. . . .REALLY? There are a lot of countries (Iraq used to be on of them) that every citizen was not allowed to vote. We live in a country where everyone over 18 is allowed to vote but guess what? A VERY lare percentage of us who have the right to vote don't. . . . .instead say something like it does not matter. Well, It does matter. If you are one who did not vote then you have no right to criticize who won the election.

Yes. He wouldn't be there if they didn't. Remember there are a lot of people in this country, some of which post on this website, that never vote but complain about our government all the time. For everyone who didn't vote in the last presidential election - SHUT UP - you don't have any right to complain.

How does one define REALLY?

George Bush did not really bring drastic changes into the American society, so i suppose most Americans are 'fine' with him. The more enthusiastic supporters (or haters) would be those who have taken an interest in the wars he waged.

It's moot at this point. He's POTUS until 2008. The Dems have definitely signaled that they won't get mixed up in impeachment proceedings, so it's a done deal.

Well I didn't REALLY want Clinton but we had him didn't we. Does it matter now? He's there for a couple more years doing the best he can with what he has to work with and against. But I gues it depends on the meaning of REALLY now doesn't it.

They must like drama like he does, because that's all he's caused for our country and others. He's given us way too many enemies.
