We've all been mistaken when we thought we were sure of something. Hasn't that happened to everyone? But there are some other things which we know for sure so we never question. For example, I know for sure I should stop at a red light and go through a green light. If someone tells me it's the other way around I'm not not going to be open to that possibility. I pretty much know I'm right.

The definition of the word belief is what you know to be true; so if I know it to be true, then how could I be making a mistake?
I fully understand your point, and I am mistaken about a lot of things, but not about my Lord of Host. I do keep my mind open to the fact that there may be plenty of things I will never understand about the universe and about God. Could it be possible that ones that do not believe, have not yet been chosen to believe?

No im open minded and have read many many religions, pagan , ancient ,modern, aborigine ,from the farthest places in the earth to the dusty pages of medieval text..to the eastern religions to religions that haven't existed for thousands of years of at least hundreds to almost every culture and have a basic standard of beliefs which I think actually are the foundation for most ,but no.. I have an openmind and would consider something else.

Could I be mistaken? Sure. Especially after having my childhood beliefs proven false, I'm far more open to the fact that we could all be mistaken in some way or another.

Absolutely which is why I maintain both a good sense of humor and good relations with as many deities, beliefs, gods, goddesses, pagan images, aethiests et al as I possibly can. I'm trying to cover all of the bases lol

You will realise that when you can comprehend the core of a believe, regardless of the cover that ppl used to emphasise, it could not be mistaken.
