Have your blood sugar tested. Overweight people like you and me are more suceptable to type 2 diabetes. Excessive thirst is a sure sign of diabetes.
If diagnosed early enough, it can usually be controlled through diet.

Get yourself one of those little testers from your pharmacy and test your blood yourself. If your level is over 130 (USA) or 7(Canada and Europe) then you need to make some changes in your lifestyle.

Good luck and please see your doctor as soon as possible.

Being over weight you might want to see a doctor to be tested for
diabetes. The urination and the excessive thirst are symptoms of diabetes. Good Luck.

no i don't think so. The best treatment for frequent urination is that whenever you are free, press your smallest finger of your hands. The pressure should be that much that you can tolerate. Do this for 15-20 days and i assure you that you will be relieved. As far as your satisfaction is concerned for diabetes, you can meet a doctor. But still i advise that the above simple treatment is the best.

Ffrequent and urgent urination are classic signs of a urinary tract infection. Since inflammation reduces the bladder's capacity to hold urine, even small amounts of urine cause discomfort.

Diabetes, pregnancy (not in your case), and prostate problems are other common causes of these symptoms.

Other causes include:

* Interstitial cystitis (an ongoing inflammation of the bladder that is much more common in women than men; often difficult to diagnose and treat)
* Diuretics and many other medications

And, less commonly:

* Radiation therapy
* Bladder dysfunction
* Bladder cancer

Best is to get routine urine tests done and consult a doctor.

Very possibly. Do you also suffer from frequent headache ?

Being overweight puts you at greater risk for Type 2 Diabetes.

If you have Native Ameican background this will add to your risk factors.

Have your blood sugar tested.

symptoms of diabetes may vary because "symptoms" are subjective by nature. peeing 7-8 times a day is usual, but this may not be "normal" if the amount is more than usual (it's the AMOUNT, not the frequency, that is a more accurate indicator of diabetes). the only objective way to see if you do have diabetes is, brace yourself, to get a blood test and have your glucose levels determined. :) -- stef MD

Hi Tammy. Honestly, the best & the quickest solution is
to visit ur doctor w/o delay. You hv been experiencing the problem since two years, which means, you are already late. Therefore, run & not walk to consult with a dr. Symptoms of diebetes (high blood sugar) are more than 2-3 but even if one is suffering from even one, it may be a sign of diebetes. Tomorrow morning, with empty stomach go to health screening lab & ask for checking ur blood sugar. If unfortunately, one is diagnosed with diebetes, one might be required to take dose/s of pill/s regularly. Not only this, one needs to change his/her life style completely. For keeping under control one's blood sugar, one shud go for brisk walking on most of the days around 45 minutes. As far as eatings r concerned, most of the items one can eat but one needs to reduce quantity, etc. In short, consult diebetologist or general physician. Diebetes is a
disease, which generally attacks to people over 40 years
but because of availability of junk foods in the market
followed with inactive life, it can even attack at an age as
early as around 12 years. I will also strongly recommend to check complete set of cholestral also.
If anybody suffers from diebetes, one may even suffer
in one's life from other different related side effects also, e.g. amputation, vision, sex dysfunction, renal problems, e.g. kidney failure, etc.etc. A diebetic patient needs to keep one set of sugar monitor (diebetometer). Last but not the least, don't delay & run. God bless u. Take care. Yong Kang.

Possibly, but also ask yourself if you have increased your intake of diuretics in the last two years such as Caffeine and alcahol. Or any other medication that causes similar side effects. If not then you really do need to have your blood sugers checked

Quantity of urine will be in proportion to the quantity of water you drink. The water has to go out either by way of perspiration or urine. check yourself. Also get your blood and urine tested for possibility of diabetes.
