It's an uphill battle (genetic), but you can try to rinse with cold water and don't blowdry. If you do, use cool air.

Saturate hair thoroughly with warm olive oil, leave in for 20 minutes, and shampoo well. I've also heard that a rinse with beer works, too, but I've never tried that one. If you want your hair to be shiny, mix 1/4 cup white vinegar with 2 cups cool water and rinse with that AFTER using your conditioner: do not rinse this mixture out.

for getting it more shiny, you use mayo, but also try different shampoos' like pantien (think i spelt that wrong, sorry) , or brilliant brunette/blonde they work for me...
