Hi, we're military as well. Just thought I’d share there’s a company out there who’s helped a lot of people who do not have and need affordable health benefits. They cover regular office visits, specialists like orthodontists, any pre-existing conditions like diabetes and pregnancy and even ancillary care and hospital advocacy. It basically includes everything you need help paying for. There's no high premiums, deductibles, co-pays, waiting periods, claims forms or anything like that at all. They can save you up to 80% on your out of pocket expenses for so much less than all the other companies. It could end up saving you a lot of $$ over traditional insurance. They have a medical plan as well as a dental plan that both include vision, prescription and chiropractic benefits as well. They have over 400,000 providers nationwide as well, so it is available almost everywhere. They are a wonderful company and are members of the Better Business Bureau. They were even featured on FOX News just a couple weeks ago. I know several people who have benefits through them, and everything they say about them is nothing but positive. It’s just crazy how much people are shelling out for their healthcare. I then also got dental, vision, rx and chiropractic benefits through them and love to be able to tell other people about how much money they can save. Try this website and you can check out the specifics and providers in your area. http://www.everyonebenefits.com/40424269/. If your preferred provider isn't on there, he can be added. I hope this helps you and you find what you need. You can email me personally at airforcecontractnegotiator@ yahoo .com if you have any questions. Best of luck and happy new year!!

Please be very careful. When I left one job to go to another, my wife was pregnant. I spoke with the insurance companies. The one from the company I left and the one I went to. I informed both of them my wife was pregnant and I wanted to ensure coverage continued. I paid $300.00 per month for 5 months, back in 1981. My wife's visits to the doctor were covered. THE HOSPITAL visit was not. Apparently, the only thing I bought was a well baby care policy, nothing else. It took me 5 years to dig out of that hole.
Your husband may be able to extend for a few months to ensure he has coverage. It may not be the answer you and he do not want to hear but, I would strongly suggest it is much better than beginning civilian life with thousands of dollars owed.

Depends on what kind of Separation he is getting. With some separations you will have insurance up to 6 months but not all. i think it is not a good thing to do to get out of the Military and start all over with a new child on the way.

This is not a good situation to be in. Does your husband have another job lined up? If neither of you will be working you could try to get on medicaid. It is run by the state and if you are pregnant they have to let you get on it. Otherwise you are going to have to take out your own policy, but be sure to read the fine print. They can be tricky.
