the other furniture in the room is dark cherry. At this time the walls are a dark gold which makes everything blend together

If you have gray. I feel this will go great with burgundy. But be sure you have shades or Black,teal and combinations that go well with the background. Also Be sure the lighting is Done well. When it comes down to it Lighting makes all the Difference. I also Agree With P M's and Dimitri's Opinions. Have Fun Decorating...

Yes, but I would make it a darker, charcoal grey. And make sure that the room isn't small. Dark colors in a small room make it seem smaller.

Or, if you change your mind about grey, my friend did her walls in a rich, chocolate brown. She has dark cherry-brown furniture, a burgandy sofa, and cream carpeting. It looks great!!

Yes, but I would make it a light gray so the room is not too dark. Silver accessories look good with gray and Burgundy too.
