take the dog to a training class. this will help the dog to respect you as leader and should stop a dog from humping you. my female dog humps other dogs, it's embarrasing, but she respects me. so when i see her doing it to another dog all i have to say is stop or no in a firm voice and that's the end of it.

You have to take the dominate position if you want them to stop. And before some goofy person says it, I do not mean for you to hump your dog! (Yes I have seen a post where someone said that) If you have the dominate position (alpha) there is no longer a reason to do this as the position would be filled (by you) You just stop them from doing it. You use what ever discipline you use with any other unwanted behavior. You are in essence claiming all the dogs. You are saying you can not hump this dog because s/he is mine and I am alpha.

I had a neutered male dog some years ago who did this with anothe r male neutured dog I took care of for a neighbor for a few days. They basically did this to each other until one of them finally submitted and this determined who was boss. Its temporary fortuantely and just another wild way they work out the hiarchy. Just let them do it and encourage them to work it out in other ways.
