Was wondering how soon you were planning on coming over. Yes I think you can for the most part. There's a lot of different ways of speaking here though depends on your age group to some degree. I don't understand half of what my 15 year old neice is talking about lol.We used to call it slang. Like instead of saying do you see what I'm saying or do you understand me my nephew says do you feel me? lol but you will get used to it. You seem to have a pretty good start on english now. You write a better question then some that have lived here all their lives lol. Don't worry have fun with it. There will be those who are lucky enough to get to know you that will help.

~If you were a Down Easter, you couldn't speak American English like a Tar Heel, and nobody can understand what they're trying to say in Brooklyn. What particular brand of American English do you want to learn? I suggest you start with something easy and stay away from jive until you've got a handle on the less esoteric blends. Anything can be learned if you've got the time and gumption, but there is no universal "American" English, anymore than there is a universal British English. (I tried talking to a Liverpudlian once with my upstate New York accent and idioms. We resorted to German in order to understand one another)

You learn to speak English in your country the same as an American can learn to speak Spanish while living in America. You find a school that teaches it and enroll.
Do I first have to go to heaven to learn to be a christian?

Watch American TV shows without subtitles. You will hear conversation and slang and other common phrases. It may not be the best teacher, but it will be more conversation than a language CD.

Yes.
The most difficult part will probably be learning all the slang phrases people use to talk with. Immerse yourself and soon you'll be doing great!
