Yes;; ;you can use dish soap but not more than a Tbsp. full for a wash machine; If someone had flooding because of the dish soap she must have used an awful lot. You can use ammonia in a pinch about a cup full to a washer full of clothes. Rinse well Also use a cup full of white vinegar to wash with and rinse with white vinegar too; the smell dissipates in the dryer. Shampoo will work too,careful with the amount with it too. Any time anything causes too much suds, a hand full of salt will dissolve the suds very quickly.
