+Would You Consider Abortion in These Four Situations?
1. There is a preacher and wife who are very, very poor. They already have 14 children. Now she finds out she is pregnant with her 15th. They are living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending abortion?
2. The father is sick with sniffles and the mother has TB. They have 4 children. The first is blind, and the second is dead. The third is deaf and the fourth has TB. The mother finds she is pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you recommend abortion?
3. A man raped a 13-year-old black girl and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?
4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She is not married. Her fiancé is not the father of the baby, and he is very upset. Would you recommend an abortion?
If you have answered, “yes” to any of these situations:
In the first case you would have killed John Wesley, one of the great evangelists of the 19th century.
In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven.
In the third case you would have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer.
In the fourth case you would have recommended the killing of Jesus Christ.
According to the Word of God abortion isn't legal!
++Thou shalt not kill. Exodus 20:13 KJV HOLY BIBLE
U.S. Abortion Deaths Compared to U.S. War Deaths
+++U.S. War Deaths from Revolutionary War through “War on Terror” is less than 2 million in 230 years time.
++++U.S. Abortion Deaths from 1973 through 2007 is more than 45,864,435 in 33 years time.
Dear Ones,
If you have killed an unborn child(ren), you have transgressed the law. If you have helped a woman to kill the unborn child(ren), you have transgressed the law. The “morning after” pill kills an unborn child if after conception (the moment that life begins) the pregnancy is disrupted causing an abortion of life to take place. Transgressing the law is called sin.
+++++For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 KJV HOLY BIBLE
The Word of God clearly states that all have sinned in one way or another.
++++++For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 KJV HOLY BIBLE
Their is still hope for us when we come short of the glory of God if we confess our sins.
+++++++If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1st John 1:9 KJV HOLY BIBLE
This isn't a license to sin as the Word of God points out.
++++++++What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Romans 6:1-2 KJV HOLY BIBLE
+++++++++For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:16-21 KJV HOLY BIBLE

Dear Timmy,
why would the bible promote abortion?
The 10 commandments puhleeease! Thou shall not murder. Of course its a sin. What do you think a human cell is? an inanimate object? Its a living cell right? So is a zygote, embryo and fetus. A living spermatozoa fuses with an egg and viola- the beginning of life.
When Esau and Jacob were in Rebekah's womb, the Lord regconised them as two nations already. Thats just one example. There are many in the bible anyway. So there, God already honoured life in the womb. Therefore, you draw the conclusion yourself.

If you are a Christian and everybody has the opportunity to choose! Jeremiah 1: 4-5, God acknowledges the person hood of Jeremiah in the womb. Abortionists claim that it is not a person or viable life. Jesus, in Matthew 18 had very Strong views on infanticide and children in Matthew 18. You are to RESCUE innocent life Proverbs 24;11-2, Psalm 94:21, the unborn, have done nothing wrong. It is a sin of convenience to the parents. 1st Corinthians 6:12-13 Not everything glorifies what you do.

I'm not a Christian, but I grew up in a Christian family. As far as I know there is no mention of abortion in the Bible. One of the ten commandments forbids murder though. The problem is that people don't all agree on whether abortion is murder or not. Some people consider a fetus to be a child and hence see abortion as murder. Others consider a fetus to be just a bunch of cells in the female body, at least at the early stages of pregnancy when the fetus could not possibly live outside the female body, and hence don't think of abortion as murder. The problem is to determine whether one becomes a person at conception, at some point during pregnancy or at birth.

I don't think the bible mentions abortion at all. Still, many religious people like to use bible quotes to support their anti-abortion position. You can use bible quotes (sometimes with a little clever interpretation) to support or condemn almost anything. Long hair, short hair, the slavery of women, the sanctity of women, the blessedness of children, infanticide, genocide, and many other creative atrocities.
There is really no good answer to why the bible says anything. These stories and poems simply survived centuries of oral tradition, translation, and editing. Some similar and/or conflicting stories have been removed or were not included.
On the one hand, the bible is culturally very important because so many people use it to guide their lives. On the other hand, it is full of nonsense, old mythology, contradictions, terrible ethics, and a few interesting stories.

The Bible denounces it..the sixth commandment says "thou shall not kill" the minute a baby is conceived it has a soul, a soul is what gives us life and therefore if you abort you are killing a soul and breaking the sixth commandment,I am a woman and this is my opinion ..Women are always saying they should have the choice that it is their body but what they don't realize is they actually made their choice..the choice to have sex or not to have sex..sex creates children..if you don't want a child then don't have sex!!

Life begins at conception. Every human receives an eternal soul at the moment of conception. Abortion is the murder of innocent life.
The Bible denounces abortion in the fifth commandment given to Moses: thou shall not kill.

Jehovah is the Source of life. All living things owe their life to God. (Psalm 36:9) Life is sacred to God. Even the life of an unborn child inside its mother is precious to Jehovah. To kill such a developing baby on purpose is wrong in God's eyes.—Exodus 21:22, 23; Psalm 127:3.

Neither. All that is said on abortion is that if a man causes the miscarriage of the fetus of another man's wife, he should pay a fine to be decided by the husband. I'm not sure offhand where that is, but not difficult to look up. Anyway, it's not considered a sin.
Edit : Wow. I've never gotten so many Thumbs down. Did I strike a nerve?
