No, the Holy Trinity has been described as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit since Jesus said in in Matthew chapter 28:19.

God transcends gender and can be referred to as He or She. The Jewish male-dominated society influenced the tradition of referring to God as male.

However, the same Jewish tradition refers to the Wisdom of God as female. Christians would call Her the Holy Spirit.

The Bible actually as several images of God as female:

Genesis 1:26-27 Women and Men created in God’s image

“Then God said, ‘Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness…So God created humankind in God’s image, in the image of God s/he created them; male and female God created them.”

Hosea 11:3-4 God described as a mother

God: “Yet it was I who taught Ephraim to walk, I who took them up in my arms; but they did not know that I healed them. I led them with cords of human kindness, with bands of love. I was to them like those who lift infants to their cheeks. I bent down to them and fed them.”

Hosea 13:8 God described as a mother bear

God: “I will fall upon them like a bear robbed of her cubs…”

Deuteronomy 32:11-12 God described as a mother eagle

“As an eagle stirs up its nest, and hovers over its young as it spreads its wings, takes them up and bears them aloft on its pinions, the Lord alone guided him…”

Deuteronomy 32:18 God who gives birth

“You were unmindful of the Rock that bore you; you forgot the God who gave you birth.”

Isaiah 66:13 God as a comforting mother

God: “As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.”

Isaiah 49:15 God compared to a nursing mother

God: “Can a woman forget her nursing child, or show no compassion for the child of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.”

Isaiah 42:14 God as a woman in labor

God: “For a long time I have held my peace, I have kept myself still and restrained myself; now I will cry out like a woman in labor, I will gasp and pant.”

Jeremiah 44:25 Queen of Heaven

“Thus says…the God of Israel: You and your wives have accomplished in deeds what you declared in words, ‘We are determined to …make offerings to the queen of heaven and to pour out libations to her.’ By all means, keep your vows and make your libations!”

Psalm131:2 God as a Mother

“But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; my soul is like the weaned child that is with me.”

Psalm 123:2 God compared to a woman

“As the eyes of a servant look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, until God has mercy on us.”

Matthew 23:37 and Luke 13:34 God as a Mother Hen

Jesus: “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often have I desired to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!”

Luke 15:8-10 God as woman looking for her lost coin

Jesus: “Or what woman having ten silver coins, is she loses one of them, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

With love in Christ.

seems like a far question and the trinity can be hard for people to comprehend....took me a while, allot of prayer, some study, talking to more mature Christians and taking notes in church and more prayer. I have not found any thing to hint toward anything other than the Father, Son and Holy Ghost
They are distinctly different yet the same

keep asking questions...
back it with scripture

No, that is not true. The mother of Jesus, was a sinner, like the rest of the whole world, and in need of a savior. She ALSO had lots of other kids after Jesus. She did have sex, and that is not what I mean when I say she sinned. She only is not still a virgin. She knew she was blessed among women, and she recognized her sin as well. "They", don't have the right to place or replace anyone in the trinity, the godhead. Never hurts to ask though. What God is, is what he is, no man can change that regardless of if our beliefs or interpretation of scripture should change.

The Holy Trinity is actually - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. They are three distinct persons in One God.All equal to each other; how this occurs is beyond human understanding. It is logical not to understand the very nature of God.

The trinity is: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Three beings in one God (or God head). Think of it sort of like you view a team. A team has several individual players but they compose one team. Such as: The St. Louis Cardinals won the World Series. Each separate, individual player didn't win the World Series. The team won the World Series. God, in a similar fashion, has three beings (we'll call them players) but compose one God. Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

Not that I know of. I think it's always been Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

BTW, don't worry about asking these questions, I just got saved this past summer and have asked all these questions at least once.

If you are serious with your questions, there is a series of books available from Tan Publishers called "Radio Replys". It is a series of three volumes that contains every imaginable question regarding God, Faith and religion. They were written by two Catholic Priests in the forties. One of them used to be an Anglican Minister and converted to catholicism so it takes into account protestant views as well as Catholic views. You should check them out. I have never heard a question regarding the Christian faith that wasn't addressed in these books. And it is amazing how things don't change. The same issues were brought up back then as are today.

The Trinity is father, son, and holy spirit. They are three distinct persons and they are masculine. The holy spirit has always been masculine.
Modern liberal Christians and feminists have tried to turn the holy spirit into mother. That is a heresy.

The trinity doctrine is a tradition that some people started to explain the revealed truth of the eternal Godhead. All the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Jesus bodily.

there is none. The Bible of course teaches that Jesus is the Son of God,not God. a million John 5:5. many religious human beings will attempt to curl the scriptures of the Bible to attempt to intend that Jesus is God. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it purely won't paintings. there is unquestionably no help interior the Bible for the Trinity coaching or the different coaching that teaches that Jesus is God.
