Is it to attempt to disprove something that you know is true but are afraid to face? By the way, God doesn't believe in atheists.

Are you aware of the fact that your argument is equally applicable to you ( a theist ) as well ?
Well the one big advantage is that atheist are not close minded people and there is a broad agreement among them unlike theist who fight with other theist on the issue of the True god. Come on first set your house in order . One god but many religions each decrying the other. In each religion hundreds of groups and sub-groups all pitted against each other. In such a scenario of utter confusion in the belief in the one and the only GOD are you not the one who is really frighten "What if my belief is wrong ?"

god doesnt have to believe in anything..... whats your point?

how about this. is religion an attempt to disprove something you know is true but afraid to face? meaning, are you a believer because the idea that you are alone in the world so scary to you that you would rather think there is someone up there driving this machine?

you know what i KNOW is true? that i can stand outside right now, drop to my knees and with my whole heart scream at the top of my lungs "if there is a god, may he strike me dead immediately" and nothing will happen.

just did it. obviously i am still alive.

now you stand outside and plead with your god to show me that he exists beyond a shadow of a doubt. i have already given you MY proof.

I am a Christian but I am going to put on a different hat and answer you. Also God does believe in Atheist, he believes in Atheist because they are alive and therefore he knows that they exist and therefor believes in them.

The benefits of being an Atheist would be that one would not have to monitor their every word and action. One could be selfish and not feel guilty about it, unless they were taught some humanistic ideals. One could make a lot of money without thinking it was somehow wrong. One could have sex outside of marriage and not feel guilty about it. Basically one would be freer in many ways. There are disadvantages to being an Atheist too, but you didn't ask that.

God doesn't believe in atheists eh? By your logic then, there is no reason to engage in a discussion with someone that calls themselves an atheist, because it is impossible to debate someone that does not exist, unless you are suffering from schizophrenia! But then, perhaps you DO believe that atheists exist, and therefore disagree with God. Are you challenging God's authority, as it pertains to the existence of atheists? Beware of what you say! Speaking for God can be dicey.

Atheism is looking for logical rational answers instead of chalking up everything to the supernatural. The Aztecs sacrificed goats and humans to their Gods as an attempt to bring rain to save their crops. Today's farmers know about seeding the clouds and building sophisticated irrigation systems and have no need to kill someone for rain. Why? Because one day someone sat down and tried to think logically about how to bring the water to him instead of using the age old cop out "It's God's Will" or praying to an invisible man in the sky.

I hope you don't have to think for a living.

The benefit of atheism is that atheists don't have to twist their minds into a knot to read a scientific journal and somehow relate it to what they learned in church on Sunday. They don't have to worry about their children not having a working knowledge of science because they hear one thing throughout the week and the opposite from the pulpit.

Atheist High School students, faced with the SAT's don't have to spend 15 minutes on each science question figuring out whether to answer using the classroom or Sunday school answers.

We just don't believe in being indoctrinated to believe in myths. We aren't trying to disprove theism or prove atheism. The burden of proof is on the ones making the (positive) claims - the theists.

I don't know why peope would not want to believe that they're is a creator who loves them.
But in my opinion doesn't it make you feel kind of alone in the world?
But I do understand why some people become atheists.
And I hate to admit it but the reason so many people oppose christianity is because christianity tells everyone that they are right all the time and everyone else is wrong!
(I can easilly understand how that can get on anyone's nerves!)
I live with my own personal belief and relationship with God but I don't focus on converting everyone I know.
(Very common when you live in the Bible belt!)
If people what to convert to Christianity it can't be forced.
If people want to become atheists that's their choice.
(With out a personal relationship with God all you have is religion.)

An IQ that is much higher than the average human.

No need to try to shove his beliefs down someones throat.

Ever heard of a congregation of atheists? Nope. They don't get together to try to convince others. They simply know the truth.

That sounds stupid. "God doesn't believe in athiests." Well, that must be the best zinger someone has given athiests. Or, it could be the stupidiest attempt at a zinger I've ever heard. Try the latter.
