Why on earth will it 'destroy' your computer? I don't think Adobe have taken to developing viruses of late!!

You are wise to be cautious, but Adobe is "pukka". Good advice about setting a system restore point beforehand, though - always expect the unexpected, as they say.

create a system restore point before you install it. that way if anything goes wrong you can go back
But seriously what could go wrong
