Would you prefer your spouse to be smarter than you or not? Smart can be annoying..... right?

Smart is very sexy. Know-it-all and arrogant are annoying.
I think having a spouse smarter than you would be a great challenge - you'd always be learning. But it just depends on what you like and what your priorities are. Not everyone is into the always being challenged, always learning bit.

There is a distinct difference between someone being smarter or as smart as you are, and someone who is condescending. If they are smarter than you are and are condescending about it, then no it is not attractive!
But if they are smarter or as smart as you, to the point that you can carry on an intelligent conversation, debate and they can hold their own water (so to speak) it is very attractive and one of my minimum requirements when I meet someone.
At a point in my life I lived for the Paris Hilton types, but that grows older and more annoying any more for myself than pretty much any other personality trait.

It's not that it can be annoying, its that you don't want to feel stupid. Smart is attractive, no one wants to date frick or frack...but no one wants to date someone that is going to correct you every five seconds either. Personally I would like to date my equal. Don't ever feel bad about being smart. Thats a great quality! If she can't the person you are interested in can't see that , then you need to move on to someone that does!

My spouse is smarter than me. I assure you it's hot as hell. And when it occasionally gets annoying, it's fun to **** the genius out of her and make her forget how to speak the several languages she knows (except for curse words), forcing her to revert to grunts and moans. It's a win-win situation.
It's all good in the neighbourhood, if you catch my general meaning.
