About 5 days ago a gland under my neck swelled up a lot and it was quite painful. I also got what I thought were a couple of ordinary zits on my chin. Now the gland has returned to normal but those little zits have turned into scabs that are about quadruple the size of what the zits were. Something similar like this, with the gland swelling and all happened in the same area on my chin. It became this huge nasty oozing scab that took about three and a half weeks to heal. I have a scar from it. Any ideas on what this is and why? Thanks.

go see your doctor immediately... you should have done that the first time around... you don't know what it is.. you don't know if it can be contagious.. and umm.. do you want ANOTHER scar..???
you should have been in the ER when your gland swelled up to begin with.... you're not a doctor... and neither are the people here giving you advice.. so do what is best for your health and go see one.. TOMORROW!!

I am not trying to be a dick but it sounds like the gift that keeps on giving. HERPES. Go to the doctor and get it checked.

sounds like a virus or an abcess of some kind... possibly herpes, possibly something else... go to ur doc.
