there are sooo many possible interpretations of the Bible, that it often divides Christians instead of unifies them. I doubt God is happy.

I'm sure there's a degree of unity, but when you think that there are more than 2000 different denominations, some of which are vehemently opposed to one another, it's hard to see the remaining unity for all the disunity. The Bible warns humanity of this too, but still people divide themselves.

It all comes down to different interpretations. This can be purposeful attempts to hide the truth or innocent differences, but I'm sure a large reason is because there was no declared or obvious successor of Christ (no another Christ-like person, just someone to interpret the teachings). The technology of the day was partly to blame for that.

In the end, it shouldn't matter what your own particular view is of your faith, but that you don't try and force it on others or judge others by it. That's God's job.

Christianity exists in many forms. America is 48% Protestant and about 30% Catholic today, but as recent as 1900 it was 80% Protestant. Different Christians have different viewpoints on things like abortion, gay rights (choice or congenital), end days, evolution, particularism, and many other things. I'm sure that what Christ envisioned does not resemble what we have today.

3,000 sects. 3,000 different interpretations of a book that was written so vaguely that no one can agree what it says. You can justify any behavior with it. The only place a Bible belongs is in a museum with the rest of the fairy tales that people once believed.

What has gone wrong with Christianity?

It was never right in the first place.

It's like a bunch of people standing around a box, arguing over the color of the bean that is inside. Some say its red, some yellow and some blue and some say there is no bean.

The blue guys are not only trying hard to convince everyone that there is a bean and that it is blue, but they are also trying to get everyone who thinks it is blue to agree on what shade.

no. but that shouldn't negate the authenticity of the God and Jesus Christ.

I believe Denominations was Christianity's worse nightmare.

Paul's take on division...

"I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas[a]"; still another, "I follow Christ."
13Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into[b] the name of Paul? 14I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. 16(Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power"

To the atheists:

Its obvious, that complexities of the universe and micro and macroscopic endearments of secular inhabitants illustrate the empirical evidence that there is a deity out there great than ourselves that is behind this elaborate design. God.

Apparently not. From what I have seen here they are incapable of even deciding how many Gods they worship. Some say one, some say three, some have demigods called "Saints" that must be prayed to as well.
