The Bible never says that a Christian cannot sin, on the contrary it says to Christians "If we say we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (I John 1:8,9)
Now, as for the next question you are going to ask, about I John 3:9; where the Scripture states a Christian "cannot sin", it goes on to state "because he is born of God," making it clear that what John is referring to is the nature of Christ received in spiritual rebirth. The walk of a Christian is to yield to the new nature, which cannot sin and reckon dead the old fleshly nature. This is the process of sanctification. The spirit is saved, the soul is being saved (James 1:21), the the body will be redeemed in the last day.

Both Scriptures are true, and yes, a born again child of God CAN and DOES sin. How can that be? Because even though God has given us His Spirit to live Godly lives, we also still live in our old, fleshly bodies. We sometimes give in to our old desires, even though we know it's not right. When we don't trust God to deliver us from sins' call, we fall right in. But, 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". As His children, we have the privilege of coming to Him, telling Him we screwed up, and having Him forgive us, wiping it away. We still have to live with the consequences of that sin, but our relationship with God is restored, much like it is when you apologize to your dad for backing into a car with his car. You still gotta pay for the damage, but your relationship with your dad is good, 'cause he knows your sorry for your mistake. It's all a part of the reason Jesus died for us. He took the penalty that we deserved, and paid for it with His life. Without that sin payment, we'd never be able to have a right relationship with God. Jesus is that bridge, between us and God, that takes our sin out of the way, and allowing God to see us as He sees His Son. So, while it's true that we do sin, if we are truly His children, we don't practice sin, making it a natural part of our lives. I hope this helps. <*)))><

Yes, a born again child of God can sin. However, their sins no longer condemn them to hell.
1 Peter 2:24 - "Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so that freed from our sins, we could live a life that has God's approval. His wounds have healed you."
