Serious answer, Peace unto you:
I am sad that your heart is broken, I know how that hurts.
I have a very good Muslim friend and we are able to share good times together because of the sake of peace and friendship and nothing else.
He has every right to believe whatever he wants.
We get along because he does not promote his beliefs as a condition for our friendship. He never tries to uplift, defend, or justify what Muhammed said or did.
If you really care about sharing common interests and being friends, it would be wise for you to stop promoting your Idealogy and just focus on the other things.
One reason that people might meddle as you say is because you are dangerous to immature Christians that are easily swayed.
Your perceived purpose of peace and friendship might be honorable but the Ideology that you adhere to is capable of leading someone astray to spend eternity in Hell!
There is only "One" way to God and that is through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for our sins!
John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. "No one" comes to the Father except through me.
There will never be the day when all religions get along as long as there are religions,(Islam), that are based on violence and revenge,(I have read the Quran).
If you cared to look into history, you would find this out. That's why the Crusades were launched, to take back and defend conquered lands from Islamic Imperialism.
The battle still goes on today and that is why you will come across people that will stand up against you when you promote the false teachings of the "False Prophet" Muhammed.
........................................................................
By the way, if you really are into friendship,
Jesus still loves you no matter even if you turn your back on Him!
He is calling you! He loves you and wants to be your friend!!
Peace!!

I was born and raised Catholic and now am a Muslim convert, very proudly. I have many friends that are Christian and there is no problems and no one has ever said that we can't get along. If someone did, it would just show how illiterate that person would be.
The way to kind of see it is that a Muslim is an upgrade of a Christian, because we believe in the same God and follow the same Prophets they do, just one more, Prophet Mohammad(pbuh).
I have pointed out to my friends and family that it is in the Bible that pork is forbidden. But, some still do not follow, that's between them and God. I did my part on communicating the knowledge. That still doesn't mean that I will turn my back on them, because I am not God, I have no right to judge. If you want to know it is in the book of Deuteronomy.
HEY FOGGY!!!!!
Could you stop the unibomber?
Could you stop the man who killed all those girls in a Amish school?
Could you stop the priests from raping the boys?
Could you stop the Columbine shootings?
If you could stop any of this then my all means you have the right to say what you want, but there are bad seeds everywhere in every religion and race.
DON'T be a person that spreads hate just because you want to talk about something you don't understand.

I am so sorry for your loss of friendship. If i could I would hug you and try to make it better. Hatred is a terrible thing and people teach it. It's deplorable.
But to have someone you love leave over religion is a sad sad thing.
if people could look beyond the ideology and look at the hundreds of millions of sweet faces. Maybe this stuff wouldn't matter.
Religions should not be a part of thought reform. They should allow people to love people openly without fear of retribution.
Unfortunately it's not that way.

I'm sorry you lost your kind, loving and caring friend. One day the lion will lie down with the lamb and tolerance and understanding will reign. What may be condemned today by society will pass away and all things will become new. Be encouraged dear one, your heart is good and is longing for this day. Your sadness will fly away and your broken heart will be healed.

Some people just makes me madd!!! Everyone is so judgmental,I feel very sorry for your so called friend,That person just walked away from a very special friendship, think of everything you could have learned from each other! single minded people is what causes wars. All people should learn to accept each other. Hitler is a good example of what happens when people hate or distrust someone simply for their beliefs. You need to go out and find a real friend!!!!!!!!!

If the world forgets about religion, it will be the best. It is very irritating when there is such a thing called racist. I wonder if all the countries could be like Singapore as Singapore is the only country in the world that forgets about religion and the 4 races, Chinese, Malay, Tamil and Eurasians, are like one family. I think we both have the same ideas on changing the world. If this "racism" stop, I will be the world's happiest person.
- Good Luck on your journey -

Why CAN Christians be friends with Muslims? Some are, sister.... I've tons of Christian friends, and they're pretty good and caring to me! And I respect and treasure everything about them... I'm sorry about the friend you lost, though. I, too, am all for tolerance and respect for other people, regardless of their beliefs. I pray we'll someday start to realize that all these religious feuds aren't gonna get anywhere and that we should just accept each other the way we are.
Peace and blessings be upon us all!

No offense to you... this isnt what is meant by my answer, just trying to be honest. For me, Im pretty openminded and there isnt anyone that I cant be friends with except for violent people. Im not saying YOU are violent, if you are a peaceful person, then i could certainly be friends with you, but for the protection of myself and my loved ones, I dont associate with violent people.
Now with that said, there are Muslims who feel they are justified through the Qu'ran to be violent to Christians and Jews if they refuse to convert. There are probably those who do not feel justified to do so.... those people I can hang out with. But there might be at least a little wonder in my mind "Are they REALLY peaceful, or will they turn on me eventually"
You have a beautiful dream, one I would like too. Maybe we just need to work on those who claim the same faith as we do, who continue to want to hurt people?

We are friends with Muslims. How many people though are friends with a radical helbent force that thinks they've been called by 'allah' to take the world by force and bloodshed so pres of Iran can usher in the long-awaited 'Mahdi'? It is very clear he's not kidding and is irrational and delusional when trying to rewrite history(the holocaust) makes him more of a threat. But Iran does not have to worry we are going to chat away and be proper until we get hit big. That's the take that some researchers are putting together.
