Usually-no. It is an exclamation expressing disgust,or disappointment.Other then saying something obscene,or swearing-some people choose to say shoot.

In the US, Pennsylvania in particular the term "shoot" can mean one of two things.

Skeet shooting is an activity done for recreation. On a shooting range or in a gallery of some kind you will hear "shoot" or "pull" as a command to release a clay pigeon(not a bird, just a colored disk). When the disk is in flight the "shooter" will take aim and try to hit the disk or pigeon with whatever ammunition he or she is using.

The term "shoot" when yelled out is also a more socially acceptable way to yell "sh*t" it has the same meaning as "darn it" or "damned it". In this form it is considered a cuss word.

It's basically a nicer way of saying "Sh*t". A lot of people say it when they are frustrated. Although I have often heard my mom or my monkey hating friend yell "Shoot-a-monkey!" If they get really mad (Don't ask...)

nothing so drastic,in India many people say shoot when they mean to say "out with it",merely telling the other person to feel free to express himself.

My Mother frowned on my choice of "Shoot!" as a way of showing just what "Stressed" described. "I don't want to hear you say that," she said: " 'Shoot' is just 'Sh*t' with two oh's! You're not fooling me or anybody."
