Yes, He died for ALL sin, for the first sin made by Adam and Eve to the last sin that is yet to be seen. He bore every sin that every human bieng has and shall ever make. Sin will remain in this world as long as this world as we know it exsists. That is the why His love is so great, and why God's mercy is everlasting. If you were to count all the sins committed by each person that ever lived and shall live, it's beyond our comprehension.Through Christ our sin's are pardoned, however we continue to sin, and continue to recieve God's grace and mercy for Jesus stands at the right hand of God interceeding on our behalf.

Yes there is still sin and will always be sin except for the thousand years that the devil will spend in the lake of fire to be set loose again.
Jesus came so we could be forgiven and made righteous by his actions not because of anything we as sinners do but because of what He did we are forgiven and have the ability to over-come sin though knowing Him on a personnel level i.e. Prayer, Bible reading, fellowship with other believers and repentance

You need to read the whole paragraph surrounding verse 24, even the whole 2nd Chap. Context Context Context
Jesus dies for our sins so that we too might die to sin and live for righteousness.
It takes time to eventually die completely. One of my professors at bible college used to say, "A man may be a long time in dying, but eventually he is dead."
I like to present the Christian life as a "growth in Christ" a "progression". Everyday we continue to pursue Jesus Christ and we keep our eyes towards heaven. Hopefully everyday we see more of "ourselves" going by the wayside and more of Jesus living in our hearts.
Keep focusing on Jesus and you'll see the results you are looking for.
Hope that helps some

Since all have not accepted Jesus as the savior of their soul, ofcourse there is still sin in the world. Just as it says in 1Peter 2:21. One should read it all.

It is merely a path of many. Jesus teaches two basic rules to being happy. 1. The Golden rule 2. Love your all powerful "father"
If you are able to do these two things then you will live a great life. If you are able to these two things sin isn't really important.

"who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed."
Yes, there is still sin in the world. Jesus took upon Himself our sins so that He might pay the penalty that we deserved. It didn't make sin non-existent, but it did provide a way for us to be saved from it's penalty and God's wrath. "...the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

Yes, there is still sin, but Jesus Christ hides our sins so that we will not have to face God's wrath.

Yes. The 'we' is followers of Jesus. Peter is addressing himself to the members of the Church, as the introduction states. In 25 he says: 'Now you have turned to the Shepherd who watches over you.' This verb 'turned to' means accepting Jesus' teachings who preached righteousness. 'If you love me you will obey my commandments.' (Jn. 14:15)
