I am trying to find the ARs, FMs, or any othe military Regs that cover smoking on a military airfield. Where and how. Any help that could be of great help.

Do you really need regs to tell you that, in the world of all things that could go wrong, that smoking around highly flammable jet fuel, liquid oxygen and live ordinance is considered to be NOT A GOOD THING?! How stupid would you have to be to fire one up around all of that? and you need official regulations to prove that you are or are not allowed to do it? There are enough ways to die on a flight line without the introduction of an open flame.

Well being an Aircraft Mechanic in the military myself, I know exactly what your talking about. Although it would seem extremely dangerous to be smoking or have an open flame around an aircraft because of fuel leakage, but speaking from experience, there should be a smoking section (smoke-pit) nearby. As for finding a REG or AFI, I can't help you there.

I'm a weapons troop and work on hte flight line too. The actual flightline is a nonsmoking area, and basically anywhere on base that is not an actual designated smoking area. It'll say that it is a smoking area when you find one, or there'll be a butt can.

With all the new regs I assume no where at all. If there were any where it would be a designated area ie smoking area

wherever is the designated smoking area on that command. You won't be able to do it on the flightline itself. FOD is a concern, not to mention the risk of fire.
